Our Beef, Pork and Lamb are reared in traditional style in the Ribble Valley amidst the rolling landscape and idyllic picturesque countryside.

Family Butchers - Countrystyle Meats

We buy our meat livestock either direct from local farms in the Ribble Valley or via Clitheroe Auction Mart. We send them to the local abattoirs at Burnley or Preston.

The first thing you will notice on visiting our shop is that you are spoilt for choice, and as one customer said ‘ its like an Aladdins cave’. There is such a vast array of products to choose from that you’re sure to find something to satisfy your taste buds.

Not only do we have the traditional cuts of meat but we also make a wide selection of sausages from plain pork to the more exotic flavours such as walnut, asparagus and stilton. We also have a wide range of gluten free sausages and burgers for those with allergies and intolerances.

We sell our very popular own home-cured bacon for those of you who want to recreate that extra tasty breakfast like our parents used to make!

We also now produce an expanding range of delicious ready-to-cook meals using our locally sourced meat and other ingredients. Our meatballs in various sauces are both popular with children and adults alike, so why not come and try them for yourself.

Because we source all our meat locally you can be sure that animal welfare has been of paramount importance and low food mileage means the carbon foot print of our meat is low.

Our Beef is hung and matured for 21 days to enhance the flavour, texture and taste.
